REFUSE DECISION RECOGNIZING JERUSALEM AS ISRAELI CAPITAL AND
CHANGING STATUS OF SACRED CITY
The world countries have dealt a strong blow to the
administration of U.S. president Donald Trump, where the United Nations General
Assembly on Thursday overwhelmingly passed a measure rejecting the Trump
administration’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, which was
repeatedly criticized as undermining the prospects for peace, The Washington
Post reported.
As many as 128 countries voted in favor of the nonbinding resolution and only nine voted against it.
Another 35 countries abstained.

The vote reflects the awakening of the world conscience and its biasness to the Arab
right.
The voting came
amidst the U.S. intimidation, where US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki
Haley renewed its threats to the countries
voting for the resolution, saying “the United States “will remember this
day” on which it was “singled out for
attack.”
“America will put our embassy in Jerusalem,” Haley said,
adding that “no vote in the United Nations will make any difference on that.
But this vote will make a difference on how Americans look on the U.N.”
